If mining is a form of development to society why should the poor suffer when these minerals are extracted from their areas and who is to blame for the two young girls mining copper. Why should they be the ones to look after their families? Most mines are in the rural areas but development can only be seen in the urban areas, there is no equal distribution of minerals in most African countries.
